A Note from Dr. Peterson:
I have been a practicing chiropractor in Lincoln NE for 15 years. I'm currently a partner at Freeman chiropractic. I have been advocating for medical marijuana since 2012 when a medical event effected my wife and changed my life forever. The presentation I do is geared to introduce medical marijuana to people , give them an introduction to terms and science and tell my wife's own personal story. I've presented to multiple state senators, health professionals, different civic and support groups.
I will have petitions with me for people to sign to help us get medical marijuana on the 2020 ballot. If I run long in my talk I'm always willing to stick around to answer questions.

For centuries, people have used equine-assisted therapy for healing. From children and adolescents to adults and seniors; equitherapy can be beneficial for nearly anyone.
Physical benefits
-Flexibility & stretching
-Muscle & strength
-Improved balance
-Rhythm & coordination
Horses for Healing also see's the importance of evidence based research to continue the development of equitherapy. We have partnered with universities and organizations to continue research on the benefits with the hopes to provide improved programming and hopefully greater acceptance of funding services in the health insurance industry.

Alysha Findley- A Lesson in Mindfulness
Mindfulness is a powerful tool to keep us in the present moment and keep worries from the past and future from taking over our day.
About Alysha -I truly love everything yoga whether it is philosophy, anatomy, mythic stories or the amazing communities that surround a yoga studio. I began my first Vinyasa teacher training in Denver, CO in 2008 through YogaFit, followed two years later by getting trained in Power Yoga and in 2012 I became certified through a Hatha-Anusara inspired program with an emphasis in therapeutics. I have been teaching Vinyasa Flow classes and workshops in Colorado since 2008 until our family relocated to Lincoln, NE in April 2014. Besides being an avid yogi, I am a mother of three amazing children and I have found that my time on the mat is the light in my day that helps me shine through the challenges of parenthood and life. Learning how to be skillful on the mat is just the beginning to the real work that happens off the mat. I am inspired everyday to help people integrate these two worlds that often seem so separate, but are completely interrelated. For me yoga is about connecting. Connecting with each other and connecting most importantly with ourself. When I teach, I teach from my heart in a way that is honest, real and relevant to others. Yoga is for everybody and my hope is to help individuals find a love for themselves and a love for life.
